Even after adolescence women have forever been preoccupied by imperfections, and shiny skin. By creating Normaderm, Vichy is a pioneer of anti-imperfection care for adults skin in addition to its range of cleansing care.

In 2009, Laboratoires Vichy invents intra-pore mattifying action. Following progress made in the physiological knowledge of shiny skin, Normaderm is launching Normaderm Pro Mat, a non-stop daily Matte Hydrating care + SPF15, to help protect the skin from daily UVA and UVB rays, the main causes of shine.
Aim: Reduce imperfections. Providing all adult women affected by imperfection with continually optimised and more efficient skin care.

Imperfections can be difficult to live with.

Consequence: Women can have difficulty defining their skin as "dry" or "sensitive". They prefer to talk about "unclear skin", or "imperfection-prone skin": it's skin with imperfections.

Recurring imperfections can give women the feeling of being powerless. Their appearance is escaping them: "imperfections always come back, it never ends". Women feel trapped in a vicious spiral of coming and going, directly subjected to external (pollution, climate) and internal factors (stress, food, hormonal cycles).

    Progress in the physiological knowledge of skin blemishes: Vichy have analysed skin with blemishes in detail and discovered they are more irritable and reactive. Their sebaceous glands are subject to a denser network of nerve endings which sensitises them. The production of sebum is then exacerbated during times of stress, hormonal changes etc, leading to an unending cycle of blemishes.

    Vichy invents anti-imperfection. Agents for reducing blemishes and irritability of the sebaceous glands with visible results after the first application. To give all adult women affected by recurrent blemises better, more effective treatments and help improve everyday lives.
